ESL TV
Alliance
member BearPaw Productions provides
dynamic online ESL educational materials through its ESL.TV department.
Courses are modular, professionally designed, and self-directed,
with directions currently in six languages. Each course has hundreds of
media objects including video, audio, animation and illustrations. They
meet British Columbia Ministry of Education standards, and can be adapted
to meet curriculum requirements anywhere.
Courses include:
- The Cooking Show: a course for low-level students focusing on greetings, food, simple processes, using the verb “to be,” and asking and answering questions with “what.”
- At the Hotel: a course for intermediate level students focusing on functional language needs for travelers staying at a hotel.
These courses were developed with the ESL.TV Content Management System (CMS), which can be used to develop courses for specific customer needs and curricula. This CMS and the ESL.TV Learning Management System (LMS) were created using MS.Net, and can be adapted and licensed by other content producers.
